Description

Grateful Dead 1967 San Francisco Whisky-a-Go-Go Concert Poster. An original concert-advertising poster for the Grateful Dead playing at the San Francisco version of the Whisky-a-Go-Go for the entire week of March 10-16, 1967. After this one-week stand concluded on a Thursday night, the group's debut Warner Bros. album, The Grateful Dead, was released on Friday, March 17. So you could say these were the band's last-ever shows before they were recording artists (unless you count their one early Scorpio single).

The poster obviously depicts Jesus with some religious words at the bottom, surely raising some eyebrows. Measures 14 1/2" x 22" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. From the Tim Backstrom Grateful Dead Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: There are three very light stains present: On the left edge touching the "RA" of "Conspiracy"; much lighter on the poster's right edge over from "Dead"; and on the black dove in the lower right corner area.
