Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers 1950s U.K. Promo Poster. An original and very unusual small British promotional poster, sent out to retailers, for six new singles on Columba Records in the U.K., dating to the summer of 1956. The group was alternately billed as Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers or just the Teenagers, until Lymon left for a solo career in '57. They had struck it big, of course, in '56 with their anthemic "Why Do Fools Fall in Love," and followed that up with the Top 20 "I Want You to Be My Girl." The song on this poster, "The ABC's of Love," dates from later in the year and charted in America, but not big.

Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers are considered an integral part of the birth of rock 'n' roll, and since they were together for such a short period and Frankie died at a very young age, anything on them is quite scarce and collectible. It's quite possible this is the only copy of this 65-year-old poster that still exists.

Measures 11 ¼" x 17 ¼" and grades to Very Good Plus condition with horizontal and vertical fold marks, creasing in various spots, and bumped corners. COA from Heritage Auctions.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
