    Four Roosters And A Chick (The Impressions) Legion Hall Concert Poster ("Pappy' Ted Bryant Presents, 1956). Extremely Rare. Window card printed in boxing style on card stock for a show in Chattanooga, TN dated Wed. July 4. The poster announces "The Rock 'n' Roll Express!, with a lineup of acts and some of their songs, including Tommy Roseberry "(The Manish Boy)", Dot Courtney "(Mohawk Squaw)", The Candlelighters, The Gumdrops, Lebron Dupree, Mattie Kellogg, Four Roosters And A Chick, with listed songs "I Hear You Knockin" and "Feel So Good", The Scarlets and The Blues Shufflers Orch. Printed by "Bryant Printery". Measures 17" x 27". In Good condition, with heavy toning to upper left corner, 1" tear to upper left edge, .5" tear to lower right edge, 1" repair to "Dance" lettering at top of poster, areas of spotting and discoloration from moisture, particularly to the left edge, corners and edges rubbed.

    Four Roosters and a Chick occupy a modest position on this 1956 poster, but, the following year three members of the group, Sam Gooden, and brothers Richard and Arthur Brooks joined Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler in Chicago to form one of the most important pioneer Soul/R&B groups of the 20th Century -The Impressions. The group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
