Description

FD-86 Blue Cheer, Lee Michaels 1967 Avalon Concert Poster Graded 10 Gem Mint. First-printing San Francisco concert poster for Blue Cheer, Lee Michaels and Clifton Chenier playing at the Avalon Ballroom on Friday thru Sunday nights, October 6-8, 1967. Known as FD-86 in the Family Dog numbered series and nicknamed "Flower Pot," this poster has been graded an unsurpassable 10 Gem Mint by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company).

In his authoritative poster guide, Eric King points out that first printings of this poster are especially desirable because some colors were changed on the second printings, and the ticket info went from yellow to white - much less attractive all around. King says this first printing is the only one worth framing. Measures 14" x 20". COA from Heritage Auctions.
