FD-57 The Doors, Steve Miller 1967 Avalon Ballroom Concert Poster. First-printing San Francisco concert poster for The Doors, the [Steve] Miller Blues Band and Haji Baba playing at the Avalon Ballroom on Friday and Saturday nights, April 14 & 15, 1967. Just 10 days after these shows, Elektra Records would release "Light My Fire" as a single and the band's fate would be changed forever. Known as FD-57 in the Family Dog numbered series, this poster was designed by Victor Moscoso and is nicknamed "Swirley." Measures 13 7/8" x 20" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: On the verso, this poster has an unusual staining or blemish pattern running down the right edge. Of unknown origin, they're even a tiny bit rough to the touch. On the poster's front, there are small, mild blemish markings in the yellow in the top margin over to the right, in the right margin next to the "S" in "Doors," about four dots' worth in the lower left corner area, and a little streak in the extreme lower right corner.
