Elvis Presley Rare 1968 Comeback Special Standee. On June 27 and 29, 1968, Elvis taped his first TV special at the Burbank Studios in Los Angeles. The special, sponsored by the Singer Sewing Machine Company, would become the enormously successful " '68 Comeback Special" and revitalized the Rock and Roll icon's historic career. This 20.25" x 27" standee was displayed in a Singer store in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is possibly the only one of its kind still in existence. The standee is in Fine to Very Fine condition with a horizontal fold crease, other light creases, some edge wear, mild discoloration, a nail hole to the top right corner, and possibly some trimming to the left edge. It has been framed along with a plaque to an overall size of 26" x 40". This lot requires third party shipping.
