Elvis Presley 1975 Concert Poster from the Collection of Colonel Tom Parker. This vintage poster (approximately 14" x 22") promoting Presley's New Year's Eve 1975 performance at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac Michigan was originally part of the personal collection of Elvis' long-time manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
This was the first time that Elvis had performed a New Year's Eve show since 1955, and the show would become the highest-attended Elvis concert ever. The show had some difficulties -- the inadequate sound system caused difficulties during Presley's performance of "My Way" and others, and he had to leave the stage to change clothes after ripping his jumpsuit -- but it was an overall success that drew an audience of 62,500 fans. No soundboard recording of the show exists, but it has been reconstructed from various fan-made recordings, and amateur video footage exists.
The poster is in Excellent condition and has been matted and framed to an overall size of 21" x 29". Accompanied by a COA from the Estate of Elvis Presley at Graceland. This lot requires third party shipping.
