Jumbo Concert Poster. Vintage original window card advertising
some jazz greats in concert at the Regal Theater in Chicago, led by
"The Exciting Dinah Washington." Crisp red & green wording uses
lots of exclamation points to convey excitement. And why not? What
a line-up of three legends - Washington, Dizzy Gillespie and Buddy
Rich and his Combo.Another poster found in the small stash of Chicago posters printed back in the day and kept in clean storage all these decades. The photo of Dinah's face is stunning in its clarity.
Measures 22" x 28" and in Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
More Information: Ferocious mint-minus condition, with only the teenie-tiniest of edge nicks in a couple of places, the biggest directly to the left of "Variety." Tiny crease in upper left corner. Anybody in their right mind would call this straight mint.
