David Cassidy "Of the Partridge Family" 1971 Tampa, FL Concert Poster. A poster from when David Cassidy was a titanic teen idol in the fall of 1971. As a star on TV's The Partridge Family, Cassidy was a heartthrob who stood out on his own as well as with his fictional family. Playing the Curtis Hixon Hall in Tampa only a few days after the first episode of the second season of the series ran, Cassidy was on the minds of many teenage girls.

Even a picture featuring Cassidy sitting down, there is a sense of confidence, coolness, and humbleness in him. He was a good guy with a great voice, best evidenced by the signature tune, "I Think I Love You." At that time, he had his own version of the Association's "Cherish" in the works, which would appear on his 1972 release, also called Cherish.

Curtis Hixon Hall was used for concerts and sporting events. Hosting the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Janis Joplin in the 1960s, as well as David Bowie, Elvis Presley, Derek and the Dominoes, and the Grateful Dead in the 1970s, it was later demolished in the early 1990s. A public park stands in its place today.

Measures 15" x 22 ½" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. Lower left corner got dinged, resulting in an edge push and one-inch crease. Other three corners have the smallest of bumps. Verso has an unusual, vertical, eight-inch groove cut into the board on the upper left edge, but it has zero effect on the poster's front. Light toning throughout.
