Description

Daily Flash/Rising Sons "Euphoria" Avalon Ballroom Concert Poster FD-7 (Family Dog, 1966). This early Family Dog event is one of the few posters to feature Seattle band The Daily Flash as the headlining act, here presented with The Rising Sons. The Daily Flash were considered the Northwest's first Underground band, while the Rising Sons featured future Blues giant Taj Mahal and slide guitarist Ry Cooder. Also on the bill was a pre-Janis Joplin Big Brother and the Holding Company. This poster is listed as OP-2, printed before the event, but with light green ink added (the initial version of this poster was printed in black and white, some of which were hand-colored by the Family Dog staff). This is one of the rarest of the Family Dog posters in existence, due to its extremely low original print run. It features a Wes Wilson design, measuring approximately 14" x 20", and is in Very Good Plus condition with tack holes in the outer borders.
