Charlie Feathers Earliest Known Concert Poster (1956). Extremely Rare. Window card boxing-style poster printed on card stock, for a show at "The Armory, Amory - Miss., Sat Dec 22". The line-up features "Warren Smith and his "Ubangis", Jerry Lee Lewis "Crazy Arms" and "Charlie Feathers and his Musical Warriors". Printed by Hatch Show Print, Nashville. Measures 14" x 22". In Very Good condition, two heavy creases from the poster having been quarter-folded, as tored by the printers, with a 0.5" split at bottom edge, the back of the poster shows discoloration from tape having previously been applied to the folds, some stray printer's ink and toning to borders.

This is the only known copy of this poster, and is the earliest known concert poster to feature Sun Recording artist Charlie Feathers.

Charlie Feathers was a supremely talented Rockabilly artist who never achieved the commercial success that he perhaps deserved. This poster dates to the end of 1956, the year that he left Sun Records and was signed to Ohio Independent label King Records. He recorded four singles which were released by the end of that year. He then went back to the studio in early January, 1957 to record four more singles. Original pressings of these early Sun and King records are now highly prized by Rockabilly vinyl collectors.
