Brook Benton/Falcons Meadow Acres Ballroom Concert Poster (1959). Extremely Rare. Window card printed on card stock for a "Dance & Show" in Topeka, KS, on Wednesday, Nov. 25th. The poster features images and lists recent hits for each of the three headline acts: "Brook Benton / "Thank You, Pretty Baby" / "Endlessly"/ "It's Just A Matter Of Time" / Mercury Records"; "Ruth Brown / "I Don't Know" / "Poppa-Daddy" / Atlantic Records; and "Falcons / "You're So Fine" / "You're Mine" / United Artists Records". Printed by "E.J. Warner Poster Corp...N.Y.". Measures 18" x 22". In Very Good condition with a 1.5" tear to the right side, small water spot to lower edge, some creasing and wear to corners and edges.

Posters featuring an image of the R&B group, the Falcons, are very scarce. As far as we know, this is the only known example of this poster. This 1959 lineup included founding member, Eddie Floyd. After the Falcons disbanded, Floyd joined Stax Records, and had success through the 1960s and 1970s, both as an artist and a songwriter for other Stax artists. His biggest hit as an artist was "Knock On Wood".
