Description
Boston 1977 First-Album Tour Richmond, VA Concert Poster. An original concert-advertising poster for rock band Boston appearing at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA on Sunday night, April 17, 1977. Features a compelling design with Boston's name in stylized red lettering and a black & orange depiction of Tom Scholz, Brad Delp & Company.Boston took two years between their mega-successful first two albums, Boston and Don't Look Back. This gig found them in the year in between, touring the world empowered by their debut Epic Records album which went gold 15 times over.
Measures 14" x 22" and grades to Very Good Minus condition. Upper left and lower right corners torn away. Lower left corner has a strong two-inch crease creating a tear at the bottom part. Right above that there's a breakthrough-ding above "on" which is closed now but once broke through. In lower left corner of band photo, there's a 2 ¾" tear which breaks color all the way, and was repaired by clear cello tape on the back, with a little corner of it wrapping around to the front. Only one tack hole, top center above "T" in "Boston" which breaks color. Two smaller crease-tears on either side of it which also break the black color. Scuffing on the photo's black background. There's a 3 ½" vertical surface crease that breaks color in the black and then drops down into the lips logo. Some general overall toning. Verso has small tape lifts in about 10 different places, and someone's name written in blue pen. COA from Heritage Auctions.
