Description

Bobby Darin, Count Basie 1962 Albany, NY Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising popular singer Bobby Darin, backed by the Count Basie Orchestra, performing at The Armory in Albany, New York on Thursday, June 28, 1962. A fun red, white, black & grey board produced by the Murray Poster Printing Co. in New York City.

Bobby was on his usual roll with popular song and hit records. He would have a Top 5 national hit almost annually: in 1958 it had been "Splish Splash"; in '59, "Dream Lover" and "Mack the Knife"; in '60, "Beyond the Sea" (actually peaked at 'only' #6); in '61, "You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby"; this year, "Things"; and in '63, "You're the Reason I'm Living."

Measures 14" x 22" and grades to Very Good Plus condition with scuffing on the verso, plus toning and corner bumping. From the Jim Cook Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
