Bob Dylan / The Band 1974 Seattle Hand-Painted Poster & Matching Unused Ticket. The very unusual combo of a hand-painted ticket sign and an unused concert ticket for Bob Dylan & The Band on their historic "comeback tour" in Seattle, Washington on February 9, 1974.

This was Dylan's first tour in eight years, and tickets sold like wildfire. This was surely an on-site poster to inform patrons who undoubtedly queued up before tickets went on sale. And it was obviously for a Bon Marche ticket outlet only. Bon Marche was a mid-range department-store chain founded in Seattle in the late 19th century.

Has great attention-grabbing orange color. More than rare, it's surely unique. And the unused ticket included in this lot is not a computer ticket, it's one of those nice, old-fashioned hard tickets. And it was made by the long-established (at the time) Globe Ticket Co., with its watermarked background appearing on both sides.

Poster measures 14 1/8" x 22" and grades to Very Good Plus. Four sets of staple holes are present: way over on the edges on either side of Bob Dylan; inside the "B" of "Band"; and almost invisibly, in the bottom center halfway between "Only" and the poster's edge. Also some very light scuffing on the poster's surface, most of it visible only when tilted at an angle. And slightly creased lower corners.

Ticket measures 3 ½" x 1 ½" and grades to Very Good for being a bit soft around the edges and corners. It's a bit 'tired,' not sharp and crisp like a brand new ticket is. And the two halves have been connected on the back by tape, creating a full unused ticket. We assume it was accidentally severed by its owner way back when, because if it were used to gain entry, the house would have retained the small portion. COA from Heritage Auctions.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
