Bob Dylan 1976 San Antonio, TX Rolling Thunder Revue Concert Poster. An original beige-paper concert-advertising poster for Bob Dylan's famous, mid-70's Rolling Thunder Revue tour playing at the Municipal Auditorium in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday night, May 11, 1976. Dylan and Joan Baez were practically co-headlining, and also listed on the poster were Dylan sidekick Bob Neuwirth plus the Byrds' Roger McGuinn and multi-faceted Texan Kinky Friedman (who just passed away earlier this year).

The RTR tour was so purposely unorganized that almost all posters & handbills were filled in by hand like this. The concerts were spontaneous, they were exciting, and they've been well-documented in film and audio releases. This was Dylan's anecdote to the hugely corporate tour he took the year before in big venues with The Band. This first-ever Heritage offering measures 14 1/8" x 22" and grades to Very Good condition. More Information: Poster has one neat, clean pinhole in three of the corners, but not in the lower right. There are five horizontal creases going across the poster, probably from when it was once rolled up and then a little pressure fell on it, very typical for rolled paper posters. The two most pronounced are through the bottom of "Revue," through Joan Baez's forehead and through "Starring," but they're gentle and don't come close to breaking color. The bottom right corner has a four-inch diagonal crease which briefly crosses the little brown corner design. A couple of other corner areas have an even more benign crease which don't bear mentioning. On the verso, the black marker bleed-through was part of the original marketing and not considered damage.
