Description

Bo Diddley Club Revilot Concert Poster (1955). Extremely Rare. Window card printed on card stock in a split fountain style for a show on Wed Aug 10. The poster misspells both the headline act "Tommy Rigdley [Ridgley] and his Orchestra" and the support act "Bo Didley [Diddley]". Also listed are Ridgley's recent song releases "Jamup", "I'm Looped" and "O' Lordy My Baby", and Diddley's "I'm A Man". Printed by Hatch Show Print, Nashville. Measures approximately 14" x 22". In Very Good condition with two heavy creases from the poster having been quarter-folded, as stored by the printer, stray blue printer's ink to first "M" in "Tommy", wear to corners and edges, toning to edges. "55" inscribed to the back.

This amazing early Bo Diddley concert poster dates to 1955 and references the song "I'm A Man" which was the B-side to Diddley's first single, called "Bo Diddley". He was inducted in to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
