Description

Black Sabbath, Allman Brothers Band (w/Duane) 1971 Atlanta, GA Concert Poster. A slim poster previewing three great upcoming shows at the hallowed Atlanta Municipal Auditorium (which stands today as Georgia State's Alumni Hall) in the spring & summer of 1971.

On Thursday, June 17 was Edgar Winter's White Trash, a young J. Geils Band (many years before "Centerfold" and "Freeze Frame"), and British glam rockers Mott the Hoople. On Wednesday, July 7 was Black Sabbath (a month before their third LP, Master of Reality, came out). And then on Saturday, July 17, two shows (a matinee and an evening performance) by the Southern rock greats, the Allman Brothers Band. This was only a few weeks after their beloved live album, At Fillmore East, was unleashed on the world. (Duane Allman was still with the band, but his time on Earth came to a tragic end later that year in the fall.)

This first-ever Heritage offering measures 7 ¾" x 22 ¾". In Near Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Poster has light edge wear and toning.
