    Bill Black Combo Klamath Falls Auditorium Concert Poster (circa 1961). Very Rare. Window card printed on light blue card stock for a "Dance and Show' in Oregon on Wed. March 29. The poster announces "Triple Headline Stars In Person", showing photos of all three acts: Bill Black and the Bill Black Trio; Gary Stites; and Gene Simmons. Printed by "Murray Poster Printing Co...N.Y.C.". Measures 13.75" x 22". In Very Good Plus condition with details of ticket prices at the top crossed out and corrected in black felt pen. Rubbing and wear to corners and edges, some toning, Some bleeding of red ink visible to the reverse.

    Bill Black is acknowledged as one of the pioneers of Rock 'n Roll. He formed a trio with Elvis Presley and Scotty Moore in 1954, playing bass on many of Presley's early hits. He formed the Bill Black Combo in 1959 and enjoyed further chart success, but sadly died prematurely in 1963 from a brain tumor, aged thirty-nine. He was inducted in to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
