Description

Big Brother and the Holding Company/Quicksilver Messenger Service "Batman" Fillmore Auditorium Concert Poster BG-2 (Bill Graham, 1966) (1966). Holy rarity, Batman! This poster, the second in the Bill Graham Presents series, is without a doubt one of the toughest to find in first printing state. Well, worry not poster fans, because Heritage has found one for you! This first printing copy was authenticated by Eric King, author of The Collector's Guide to Psychedelic Rock Concert Posters. The poster has undergone extensive restoration, as noted in pencil on the reverse by Mr. King. The restoration includes paper replacement along the top and bottom edges, ink reinforcement, and cleaning. The poster measures approximately 14" x 19.75", and is in Near Mint Restored condition. Artist Wes Wilson hand-signed the poster in the lower right corner. Of special note is one of the opening bands for this three-day event, Great Society, which featured vocalist Grace Slick before she joined Jefferson Airplane.
