BG-269 B.B. King 1971 Fillmore West Concert Poster Graded 9.4. First-and-only printing San Francisco concert poster for blues guitar god B.B. King, Ballin' Jack and Christian Rapid playing at the Fillmore West on Thursday thru Sunday nights, February 4-7, 1971. Designed by Norman Orr and known as BG-269 in the Bill Graham numbered series, this poster was graded a thrill-is-here 9.4 Near Mint by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company).

The legendary King, America's greatest ambassador of the blues, was always a welcome presence in rock circles. And indeed his new album at the time, Indianola Mississippi Seeds, had a few such talents helping him out, namely Joe Walsh, Leon Russell and Carole King. The disc was a standout, and even B.B. himself has said, "I know the critics like [my live albums], but I think that IMS was the best album that I've done artistically." What a great time to see him in concert.
