Description

BG-152/153 Grateful Dead, Santana 1968-69 New Year's Eve S.F. Concert Poster Combo Graded 9.6. For the first time in six years, Heritage is offering this first-and-only-printing, double-pairing San Francisco concert poster for two Bill Graham New Year's Eve shows as 1968 turned into 1969.

On the right, BG-152 advertised the Grateful Dead, Santana, Quicksilver and It's a Beautiful Day playing at Winterland. And on the left, BG-153 talked up Vanilla Fudge, Richie Havens, the Youngbloods and Cold Blood performing at the Fillmore West. Graham distributed these posters both individually and together uncut like this.

Designed by Lee Conklin and measuring 21" x 28 11/32", this was graded a doubly good 9.6 Near Mint Plus by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company). From the Tim Backstrom Grateful Dead Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
