Description

BG-146 Moody Blues 1968 S.F. Concert Poster by Griffin & Kelley Graded 10 Gem Mint. First-and-only printing San Francisco concert poster for the Moody Blues, Chicago Transit Authority and Frumious Bandersnatch playing at the Fillmore West on Thursday through Sunday nights, November 21-24, 1968. Designed by Rick Griffin and Alton Kelley and known as BG-146 in the Bill Graham numbered series, this poster was graded the highest grade possible, a dazzling 10 Gem Mint, by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company).

It's hard to imagine a better combo than the Moodies touring of their classic Days of Future Passed album and Terry Kath & Chicago trekking off their debut double-album Chicago Transit Authority. Then you add in poster artists Griffin & Kelley - both uncredited on the poster - and its knockout grade, and you have a poster for the ages. This is the first copy of BG-146 that Heritage has sold in 10 years, and the very first one ever graded. Measures 14" x 22" and grades to 10 Gem Mint. COA from Heritage Auctions.
