    Description

Beatles/Gerry and the Pacemakers New Brighton Tower Concert Poster (NEMS, 1963). Extraordinary early concert poster for a show on June 14, 1963 which featured Liverpool's two biggest acts, both about to hit worldwide fame -- The Beatles, and Gerry and the Pacemakers. At this point in their careers, the Beatles first album, Please Please Me, had spent 12 weeks in the UK Top 10, with six weeks at the #1 position. The song that would catapult the band to fame in America, "She Loves You," had not yet been written (it would be, nine days later, in a hotel room). This rare original 1963 poster was printed with bright, dayglo colors; it measures approximately 20" x 29.5". In Very Good condition, with noticeable wrinkles throughout from earlier storage.
