Description

Beatles - Full Set of Richard Avedon Psychedelic Posters With Black & White Streamer Poster (1968). In 1967 the Beatles commissioned famed fashion photographer Richard Avedon to do a set of portraits of the group, which would initially be made available to fans as posters distributed through three publications: LOOK magazine in the US, the Daily Express newspaper in the UK, and Stern magazine in Germany. These images transcend typical music memorabilia and are sought today by both fans of the group, and collectors of fine art and fashion photography. Also included in this lot is a b&w portrait banner print of the Fab Four. All five posters are listed as limited first editions in the bottom-right area of the borders. The Psychedelic posters measure 18.75" x 27", while the banner poster measures 14.5" x 40". All posters in Very Good condition. The Psychedelic set all exhibit tack holes, tape residue, with chips and small tears in the corners. The group poster has some creasing in the image from pressure while rolled, as well as creased corners and edgewear.
