Description
Beatles D.C. Stadium Concert Concert Handbill (1966) Extremely Rare. Printed on paper, advertising the Beatles' "Only / Appearance / This Year" on Monday August 15 in Washington D.C. The handbill shows photos of the Fab Four's "floating" heads, and lists support acts as the Cyrkle and Ronettes. Measures 5.5" x 8.5". In Near Mint Minus condition, with minor wear, toning.This is the first time that this handbill has been offered at Heritage. A reported 32,000 fans attended this show, despite John Lennon causing a furor after he made remarks in an interview, where he declared that the Beatles were "...more popular than Jesus now".
