Beatles A Hard Day's Night Soundtrack LP (United Artists UAS-3366, 1964): Original Four Color Front Cover Screen Printing Positives with Beatles VI LP (Capitol ST-2358, 1965) Original Back Cover Printing Negative. Two amazing and likely unique relics from the peak of Beatlemania in America. These are from the personal collection of the son of the founder of Bert-Co Graphics, the printing company who produced the first and many successive album covers for the US Beatle albums. These were used in the printing process for two important Beatle albums, as follows. (1) The four clear plastic halftone printing plates (Yellow, Red, Blue, Black), each 13.5" x 16" in size, used to print the front Stereo soundtrack cover from the first full-length Beatle film. Excellent. (2) The single B&W negative, 14" x 14", used to print the back cover of the Capitol release Beatles VI which would stay at the top of the Billboard charts for six weeks in the summer of 1965. Very fine with only a minor surface scratch that would not affect the printing process and a torn corner. We note that there is a tiny cutout at lower right where the pressing plant number would be inserted before printing. These are perfect for display and likely unique as the company's archives were destroyed save for a few important items rescued for posterity.
