Badfinger 1971 Tuscaloosa, Alabama Concert Poster. An original green & white concert poster advertising Apple Records' Badfinger appearing at the Foster Auditorium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Friday night, April 2, 1971.

Pete Ham & company remain unquestionably the most popular act to come out of the Beatles' Apple Records imprint, if you don't count James Taylor who quickly moved to another label. Beatle fans to this day hold the band in high regard and close to their hearts. And the timing of this poster couldn't be better. Badfinger was touring off their successful album Straight Up, which was produced by George Harrison and Todd Rundgren. And they were right in between two of their Top 10 hit singles, "No Matter What" and "Day After Day."

Original Badfinger concert posters just don't turn up often. Heritage has had only one for sale before, and that was 10 years ago.

Great-looking design in that the picture of Badfinger takes up ¾ of the poster, and the green color plays nicely into the Apple Records theme. Measures 13" x 22 ½" and grades to Very Good condition. Has a large horizontal fold mark through the center, tears in three corners along with staple holes, a ¾" tear in the center right portion, and a tack hole in the upper center portion. COA from Heritage Auctions.
