    Description

Allman Brothers Band Cumberland County Memorial Auditorium Concert Poster (1972). Extremely Rare. Oversized window card printed in Dayglo orange and black on card stock, for a show in Fayetteville, NC on Sun. June 18. The poster features a black and white image of the band and lists album releases to date: ""Allman Bros. Band" "Idlewild South" / "The Allman Bros. Live At Fillmore East" / "Eat A Peach"". The support act is Alex Taylor. Printed by "Globe Poster - Baltimore". Measures 22" x 30.75'". In Good condition with some loss to the upper corners and creasing along upper edge, pinholes to corners and edges, moisture spots and spots of loss to ink in places, some general scuffs and wear, toning to light areas.

This poster dates to shortly after Duane Allman's death in a motorcycle accident in 1971. Significantly, all four albums that featured the legendary lead guitarist are listed on this poster, including their breakthrough album At Fillmore East , still considered one of Rock and Roll's top 2 or 3 live records ever made. Though this image may seem familiar due to modern reproductions of the poster, this is in fact the ONE and ONLY original example of this poster known to the collecting community.
