2 Live Crew, Heavy D and the Boyz 1987 Atlanta Civic Center Concert Poster. A jumbo poster made in the classic vein of Globe Posters decades before, this was for a 1987 concert featuring controversy-bound rap group, 2 Live Crew. Led by Luke Campbell, the group was not afraid to be explicit (just look at the third song listed under their name on this poster). The more controversial they were, the more publicity they had, which reached a boiling point with their 1989 album, As Nasty As They Wanna Be. But for this show, they were headliners with Heavy D and the Boyz, MC Shy-D, Anquette, and M-4-Sers in Atlanta. Measures 22 ¼" x 30 ¾". In Very Good Plus condition with creasing and bumped corners, along with smudging, residue, and a blue mark towards the top portion. COA from Heritage Auctions.
