The Beatles: The Original Photo of John Lennon with The Quarrymen! An incredibly rare and desirable relic that marks the infancy of what would be rock's greatest legacy, presented here is the original 6.5 x 4.75 black and white photograph featuring a teenage John Lennon with his very first band, The Quarrymen. Started in the summer of 1956, the Quarrymen would eventually evolve with Lennon's leadership to become Beatles. Known as the the first and only image of The Quarrymen in their original form, this very picture has been used in countless books and magazines throughout the past 40 years. Originally acquired several years back from an obscure auction house which also brought the public the first original recording of The Quarrymen from the same time period. The photograph has been well preserved and is in overall fine condition, with only a slight hint of wear at the corners. Accompanying the photograph is a set of contemporary ballpoint pen signatures, accomplished on a 4.5 x 7 card, from the original members of the Quarrymen including Rod Davis, Pete Shotton, Len Garry, Colin Hanton and Eric Griffiths. From The Tom Fontaine Music Memorabilia Collection.
