DescriptionR.E.M. Early 1980s Concert Poster. A concert poster for an R.E.M. show that is more of a puzzle in 2021 than what it was originally used for. Determining which year this was from and which Agora this was is difficult without more information. The Athens-based band played an Agora in various cities in the United States during the early 1980s. With artwork (featuring hand-coloring) more like something found in a kindergartener's desk, this is from the very DIY era of the time. You had bands like Journey and Boston with pristine artwork and details on when and where you could get tickets. For this R.E.M. show, the bare bones information was enough if you were in the know. R.E.M.'s sound wasn't on your local FM powerhouse at the time, so you had to come to them. Measures 14" x 8 ¾". In Very Good condition with a large spot of loss in the upper right corner, along with creasing/fold markd, and tape on the upper left and upper right corners. COA from Heritage Auctions.
