More Information: These stereoscopic slides are part of a remarkable collection of largely unpublished color stereoscopic images of many of the foremost jazz artists of the time, including Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and many more. Due to the close relationships that he developed with his subjects, Nat was able to take candid, relaxed shots as well as performance shots. The quality of these color three dimensional photographs is astonishing, not only in terms of their clarity and richness of color, but, also because of the depth of the images, which almost allow the viewer to be placed in the very moment that they portray.
