DescriptionJazz - One Hundred Fourteen Unpublished Color Stereoscopic Slides of Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey and Others (1949-1953). All original glass slides, most with "Character Arts / Cleveland, Ohio" paper label with typed details of the artists, venue, and date, showing legendary Jazz figures both on and off stage. Performers include: Tommy Dorsey, 1949-'53 (x13); Jimmy Dorsey, 1949-'50 (x16); Eddie Condon, 1949 (x10); Ray Bauduc, 1949-'50 (x6); De Paris Brothers, 1949 (x7); Dixie Dandies, 1950 (x5). Others featured: Ernie Caceres, Cozy Cole, Jack Carson, Dan Dailey, Carlton Carpenter, Helen Lee, and more. All slides measure approximately 4" x 1.75". Generally the slides are in Fine to Excellent condition, with some loss to trim on slides, and discoloration to labels. The actual images are in Excellent condition.
