DescriptionJazz - Ninety Six Unpublished Color Stereoscopic Slides of Sugar Ray Robinson, Buddy Rich, Rudy Vallee and Others (1949-1963). All original glass slides, most with "Character Arts / Cleveland, Ohio" paper label with typed details of the artists, venue, and date, showing legendary Jazz figures - and one of the greatest boxing stars of all time - both on and off stage. Performers include: all-time boxing great Sugar Ray Robinson hanging around the Palms club in Columbus, Ohio in 1953 (x7); Buddy Rich with Tommy Turk, 1949 (1); Rudy Vallee, 1949 (1); Tony Spargo, 1949 (x5). Others featured: Bill Randall, Joe Sullivan, Eddie South, Noble Sissie, Floyd Bean, and many more. All slides measure approximately 4" x 1.75". Generally the slides are in Fine to Excellent condition, with some loss to trim on slides, and discoloration to labels. The actual images are in Excellent condition.
