DescriptionJazz - Eighty Nine Unpublished Color Stereoscopic Slides of Count Basie, Frankie Yankovic, and Others (1949-1957). All original glass slides, most with "Character Arts / Cleveland, Ohio" paper label with typed details of the artists, venue, and date, showing Jazz and Polka legends on and off stage. Performers include: Count Basie (x1); Frankie Yankovic and Orchestra (x6); Ray Razor (x4); Teddy Wilson (x6). Others featured: Lester Young, Red Allen, Lizzie Miles, Bill Randall, Irene Williams, William Price, Buddy Grecko, the Weavers, and many more. All slides measure approximately 4" x 1.75". Generally the slides are in Fine to Excellent condition, with some loss to trim on slides, and discoloration to labels. The actual images are in Excellent condition.
