    Description

Elvis Presley 1956 Photos Portfolio Elvis Comes Home! (Terry Wood, 1987). It was September, 1956, and Elvis was a certified superstar, less than a year after RCA bought out his contract from Sun Records. The occasion for the King's first triumphant return to his childhood hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi was the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show. Photographer Terry Wood captures the moment in this limited set with eight great photos of Elvis, his parents, bandmates Scotty Moore, Bill Black, and D.J., and various Tupelo dignitaries.
