DescriptionBeatles - Three Early Large Format Photos by Peter Bruchmann (Germany, 1961). Gelatin silver, printed later. The large-format photos, measuring approximately 20" x 24", taken at the Top Ten Club in Hamburg, Germany, during the spring of 1961. These dates were the final appearances of early bassist Stuart Sutcliffe as a member of the Beatles, and he appears in all three photos. Sutcliffe left the band in July 1961, and died tragically on April 10, 1962, the result of an aneurysm. Two of these images are strikingly similar, showing a young John Lennon singing into the microphone, with Sutcliffe and Harrison playing seated behind him. The other is a haunting portrait of Sutcliffe, flanked by unknowns. All photos matted to an overall 27.5" x 31.5". Fine condition. From the Ulf Kruger Archive.
