DescriptionBeatles - Set of Three Max Scheler Photographs Of John Lennon (1964). In February 1964 German photographers Astrid Kirchherr and Max Scheler were sent on an assignment to London for Stern magazine to photograph the Beatles during the filming of A Hard Day's Night. These photographs were taken at Twickenham Studios. Gelatin silver, printed later, one shows John seated tuning his Gibson acoustic guitar during filming for A Hard Day's Night, while the others are close-ups of Lennon. One, a smiling John, while the other depicts him straight-faced. All are recto signed by Scheler, the guitar photo at the lower left corner in black ink, the other two at the lower right in silver. Images measure 12" x 16". In Excellent condition with minor wear and rubs to corners and edges.
