    Description

Beatles Group of Photographs From The First US Visit, February 1964 This group of six photos shows a variety of scenes in and around the Plaza Hotel during the first few days of the Beatles arrival in New York in February 1964. Some of the shots were taken by Harry Benson, who accompanied the group on that historic trip. Included are images of the Beatles joking with Plaza staff members, having a meal, and going through fan mail. There's also an interesting pairing of John, Paul and Ringo in Central Park - a photo opportunity missed by George, who was back at the hotel recovering from the flu - which didn't keep him from hamming it up in his robe on a Plaza balcony! The photos are in overall Very Good condition and are later prints, with some spots from dust on the negatives. Sizes range from 12" x 8" to 15" x 12".
