Beatles - George Harrison and Jackie Lomax: Group of Forty-three Original Color Transparencies (London, Summer 1968). Eight uncut strips of Kodak Ektachrome B 35mm film, images taken of the two in the studio during the recording of Lomax's album Is This What You Want? Twenty-six of the photographs include George Harrison, the balance are of Lomax alone. In a Merseybeat group called the Undertakers, Lomax played many of the same venues as the early Beatles- the Cavern Club in Liverpool and the Star Club in Hamburg. Beatle manager Brian Epstein had signed the Lomax Alliance to a contract with CBS. After his death, the Beatles' Apple label took him over and George Harrison produced his first album. The London and Los Angeles sessions featured heavyweight musicians such as George, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Nicky Hopkins, Klaus Voormann, and members of the "Wrecking Crew." Included with these transparencies is a signed letter of provenance from the owner stating that his friend Jackie Lomax had given him these and that, to his knowledge, most of these (if not all) are unpublished.
