A Collection of Psychedelic Color Photographs by Dunstan Pereira Depicting the Los Angeles Cast from "Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical," (1969). Seven total, all original prints with a matte finish, each showing the actors on stage from the first Los Angeles production of the now-iconic sixties musical which ran from 1969 to 1971 at the celebrated Aquarius Theatre on Sunset Boulevard (which was formerly the Earl Carroll nightclub then the Frank Sennes 'Moulin Rouge' nightclub then the Hullabaloo TV show studio and now the Nickelodeon on Sunset TV studio), each image purposely modified and manipulated in the darkroom for a "psychedelic effect," each mounted to a matboard with credit stamps on the verso reading in part "Dunstan Pereira;" interestingly, Pereira only printed two sets of these photographs - one he kept for himself and the other (this set) he gifted to Michael Butler, the original producer of "Hair;" the current owner then obtained them directly from Butler. (Please note there is slight discoloration on the verso of the matboards due to age.)
    Each: 13" x 10"
