DescriptionTelevision/Blondie 1977 Amsterdam Concert Poster. A horizontal paper poster for a great double bill of New York City's finest Television and Blondie at the famed Paradiso venue in Amsterdam. Both bands were considered punk because they came from the same scene as the Ramones and Talking Heads, but none of the bands sounded alike. (Blondie took inspiration from all kinds of music, from doo-wop to rock to reggae. Television was about intricate, arty, and jammy tunes.) They just didn't sound like the Bee Gees or Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. So they were called punk. Television had released their stunning debut LP, Marquee Moon, a few months before this. Blondie was about to record their second album, Plastic Letters, right after this show. Measures 24" x 17". In Near Mint Minus condition with various spots of wear on the main portion and edges. COA from Heritage Auctions.
