Description

The Who - John Entwistle "Wild Bill Daltrey" Sketch Group. Group of three study pieces John was working on, featuring Roger Daltrey as a Wild West gunslinger. Two pieces are on thin white paper, one with the character's head in profile, the other with his torso and drawn gun (these could easily be combined in a frame for a near-complete image, missing only detail of one boot). The third piece is a fragment of onionskin/tracing paper with gun and face details. The two white paper drawings, when combined, have an approximate image area of 21.5" x 12.5", while the onionskin fragment is roughly 15" x 9.75", with torn areas missing and folds. Overall condition is Good to Very Good. Items are unsigned. A computer print-out of the finished piece (including Entwistle's printed "spider" signature) is also included.
