Jimmy Page Ramble On Painting By Blondie Chaplin (Early 2000s). Led Zeppelin's incomparable guitar maestro, and architect of Hard Rock, Jimmy Page, has influenced countless bands since his rise to prominence in the late 1960s. Jimmy's likeness is captured here in a way you've never seen before, by celebrated South African multi-instrumentalist and painter Blondie Chaplin. Though his musical career began with the Flames in 1968, Chaplin entered the world-wide spotlight in the early seventies as a member of the Beach Boys, singing on the classic "Sail On, Sailor" and others. Moving on to releasing solo albums, touring with the Rolling Stones, and the Band, Blondie has most recently collaborated with former Beach Boy Brian Wilson on his latest album, No Pier Pressure, also taking part in the subsequent tour as a special guest, and even appearing with Wilson on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this year. This dazzling portrait of Page was consigned directly from Blondie Chaplin, executed on canvas stretched over wood, and is signed and titled on the reverse. Measures approximately 26" x 27", and is in Excellent condition.
