Grateful Dead - Furthur Festival Access Pass Original Art by Mike Schulman (1996). Following Jerry Garcia's untimely passing on August 9, 1995, various offshoots of the band played a series of shows billed as Furthur Festival. Here's a cosmically colorful design for that event's laminated backstage pass, created by Grateful Dead artist Mike Schulman, done in airbrush/mixed media on board. The art is matted to an overall approximate size of 19" x 25.75", with an opening of 12.75" x 19.25". The mat is covered with a clear sheet of protective plastic, taped to the reverse (please note that some white paper residue seen in the top left corner is on the plastic, not the art or mat).
