    Description

Beatles - George Harrison Original Art (India, 1968). A brightly colored sketch of two god-like eyes looking over a city in a valley. It was drawn by George Harrison whilst in Rishikesh, India with the Beatles in February, 1968. Talking to Hunter Davies whilst being interviewed for the official Beatles biography, John Lennon observed, "The basic talent is believing you can do something. Me and Paul were always drawing but George wouldn't even try because he said he couldn't draw. It took us a long time to persuade him anyone could draw. Now he's drawing all the time. And he's getting better." The group had traveled to the country to attend an advanced transcendental meditation programme at the ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi whom they had met in Bangor, Wales in August 1967. During their time at the ashram The Beatles filled spare time by writing songs (many of which would appear on the "White Album"), drawing and engaging in various other activities such as making bracelets. The drawing comes from the estate of Geoffrey Baker, a former assistant to the Maharishi. Measures 13" x 8.25". Condition: Very Good Plus, with a rough edge, where it was presumably torn from a sketch book.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
