A Michael Everett Original Signed Concept Drawing for the Grateful Dead/The Other Ones Concert, 1998. Rendered in colored pencil and ink on paper; image depicts a colorful frog and butterfly in a lush setting, text reads "Atlanta / June 25," signed in black ink on the right side "98 M Everett;" included is a 2009 Certificate of Authenticity from the artist himself relating to this piece. 15" x 9".
This is the concept artwork for the poster used to advertise the Atlanta, Georgia leg of the Furthur Festival tour, the first time that all of the surviving members of The Grateful Dead reunited after Jerry Garcia's death, re-baptizing themselves as "The Other Ones." Interestingly, there is some subtle Grateful Dead iconography hidden throughout this piece including the famous 'Steal Your Face' image and "13 Point Lightening Bolt" symbols.
