    New York Dolls Mercer Art Center Concert Handbill (Circa 1972). Rare. Black printed on white paper, showing an early promotional shot of the Dolls, promoting "Tues. Nites 10pm / Mercer Art Center / 240 Mercer St.". Measures 11" x 8.5". In Good condition, with four heavy fold creases, loss to upper right corner, some stains and creasing, general yellowing and toning.

    This early handbill announces the headline act as the Dolls, before they became known as the New York Dolls. The Mercer Art Center opened in December, 1970, but only lasted until August 1973, when the roof unexpectedly collapsed.
