Beatles Set of Four Volpe Portraits. Four rare and gorgeous, vintage original pastel portraits, one for each member of the band, designed by Nicholas Volpe in 1964. Produced exclusively for Seltaeb copyright 1964, and distributed by Nems Enterprises Ltd. The Beatles first sat for Nicholas Volpe in 1964 at New York's Waldorf Astoria. Those portraits were not finished at the first sitting, and Volpe's next session with the Beatles took place in Las Vegas after their historic appearance on the "Ed Sullivan Show." It was after the Las Vegas sitting that the drawings were completed by the artist. All are matted and framed and in superb condition.
